Privacy Policy
Effective date: 12 October 2026
This policy explains what happens to personal information in connection with the website at dualaspect.online. The responsible entity is GRAVELGANT s.r.o., Příkop 843/4, Zábrdovice, 602 00 Brno, Czech Republic, company registration 29189012, contactable at info@dualaspect.online. Wherever this policy says what is done or decided, GRAVELGANT s.r.o. is the entity doing or deciding it.
Personal information is handled in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, which the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner publishes at oaic.gov.au/privacy/australian-privacy-principles. Because this site publishes a course for readers in Australia, the policy is set out as a walkthrough of those principles in order, so that you can see what each one means here. Several of them have very little application, and where that is the case it is said plainly rather than padded.
This policy covers dualaspect.online and nothing else. The affiliate link published on this site leads to a destination operated by other companies, and other sites linked in the course — including Australian government sites — are operated by their own organisations. Each has its own privacy policy, and none of them is covered by this one.
APP 1 — Open and transparent management of personal information
This policy is the openness measure. It is published at a fixed address, linked from the footer of every page on the site, dated, and written to be read by someone who is not a lawyer. The practices described below are the practices actually in use: the site is a set of static pages, it has no database, no accounts and no forms, and it loads nothing from any other server. If you want to ask how any of it works, the email address above reaches the people who maintain it.
APP 2 — Anonymity and pseudonymity
Reading this site requires no identification of any kind. You are not asked for a name, you cannot create an account, and there is nothing to log in to. If you write to us, you may use a pseudonymous email address and sign with any name you like; we will answer whatever address the message came from. The one exception is a request for access to or correction of personal information, where we need enough information to identify the records you are asking about — usually the address from which you wrote to us.
APP 3 — Collection of solicited personal information
Two categories of personal information exist in connection with this site, and only two.
- Server access logs, kept by our hosting provider as an ordinary part of running a web server. A log entry records the IP address of the requesting device, the date and time, the URL requested, the referring page if your browser sends one, and the user-agent string that identifies your browser and operating system.
- The content of emails sent to info@dualaspect.online: the sending address, any name given, the text of the message, and any attachment you choose to send.
Nothing else is collected. There are no forms, no accounts, no progress tracking, no quizzes, no cookies, no web fonts, no analytics, no advertising tags, no profiling and no cross-site tracking. The checklists do not record what you have ticked. The site requests nothing from any other server, so no third party learns that you visited it.
APP 4 — Dealing with unsolicited personal information
Sometimes a message contains more personal information than is needed to answer it — details of other people, attachments we did not ask for, or an account of circumstances that go beyond the question. Where that information is not needed for the reply and we are not required to keep it, it is deleted as soon as it is lawful and reasonable to do so.
APP 5 — Notification of the collection of personal information
This policy is the notification. Logs are created automatically by the server the moment a page is requested, which is why the fact is published here rather than announced on the page. For email, the act of writing to us is the moment of collection, and the purpose, retention and recipients are set out in this policy before you write.
APP 6 — Use or disclosure of personal information
Access logs are used to keep the site available and secure: diagnosing faults, investigating abuse such as automated attacks, and confirming that pages are being served correctly. Email is used to reply to you and, where relevant, to make a correction to the course.
Neither category is used for any other purpose. Personal information from this site is never sold, rented, traded or shared for marketing by anyone. It is disclosed outside the company only to the providers named under APP 8, and to an authority where a law of Australia or of the Czech Republic requires disclosure.
APP 7 — Direct marketing
No direct marketing is carried out through this site. There is no mailing list, no newsletter, no course reminder and no follow-up message. If you write to us, you receive a reply to your message and nothing further.
APP 8 — Cross-border disclosure of personal information
Two service providers handle this information: our hosting provider, which serves the pages and keeps the access logs, and our email service provider, which operates the mailbox behind info@dualaspect.online. Those are the only recipients.
Both may store or process data outside Australia. We are not able to state a single country for either, because infrastructure of this kind is commonly operated across several locations; what we can state is that the data may be held outside Australia, and that no further recipient exists.
APP 9 — Government related identifiers
No government related identifier — a tax file number, a Medicare number, a driver licence number or anything comparable — is adopted, used or disclosed by this site. None is ever requested, and there is nowhere on the site to enter one.
APP 10 — Quality of personal information
The only personal information held is what a server wrote automatically and what you sent us yourself, so there is little scope for it to be inaccurate. If something we hold about you is wrong — a mistaken address in a conversation, for example — tell us and it is corrected.
APP 11 — Security of personal information
The site is served over HTTPS, so the connection between your browser and the server is encrypted. There is no database and no store of submissions, because nothing is submitted. The hosting account and the mailbox are reachable only by people working for GRAVELGANT s.r.o., using individual credentials. Logs are deleted on the schedule below, and email is deleted when its retention period ends; information that no longer exists cannot be lost.
We claim no certification, audit or standard beyond those measures.
Retention
Retention is stated per category. Access logs are kept for 30 days and then deleted. Email is kept for 24 months after the last message in the conversation, then deleted — unless a particular message must be kept longer because it is relevant to a legal claim, in which case it is kept only as long as that claim requires.
APP 12 — Access to personal information
You may ask what personal information we hold about you. Write to info@dualaspect.online with Privacy request in the subject line, from the address concerned where possible. There is no charge for making a request. We reply within 30 days. In practice an access request usually produces the email conversation itself; log entries are rarely retrievable by person, because a log records an IP address rather than a name.
APP 13 — Correction of personal information
If information we hold about you is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, ask us to correct it using the same subject line. Corrections are made within 30 days. If we disagree that a correction is needed, we explain why in writing and you may ask us to note your disagreement on the record.
Affiliate links
This site publishes paid affiliate links to one game, described in full on the Affiliate Disclosure page. Following such a link takes you off dualaspect.online. From that moment the destination site and the affiliate network that operates the link may use cookies or similar technology on their own domains to record that the referral came from us; that activity happens under their privacy policies, not this one, and we neither control nor see it.
What we receive is a commission report from the network: counts of sign-ups attributed to our link, and amounts payable. GRAVELGANT s.r.o. uses those reports solely to reconcile payments, and does not seek, request or attempt to derive information identifying individual readers from them.
Complaints
If you believe your personal information has been mishandled, write to info@dualaspect.online and describe the circumstances. We answer complaints within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may take the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints.
Data breaches
If we have reason to believe that personal information connected with this site has been accessed or disclosed without authorisation, or lost, we assess the situation promptly. Where the incident is likely to result in serious harm, the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner are notified in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Children
This site is not directed at people under 16. It is written for adults, and it collects nothing from anyone — including nothing that would identify a young person. Where the course discusses age suitability, it points to the Australian Classification Board and the eSafety Commissioner rather than asking anything of the reader.
Readers in the European Union and the United Kingdom
GRAVELGANT s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, so the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation also applies to the handling described above.
The legal basis for keeping access logs is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functioning website. The legal basis for handling email is the taking of steps to respond to your enquiry. There is no consent basis anywhere in this policy, because the site sets no cookies and uses no technology that requires consent.
Readers in the EU and the UK have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise any of them, write to info@dualaspect.online. You may also complain to the Czech supervisory authority, the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), at uoou.gov.cz, or to the authority in your own country of residence.
Changes to this policy
When this policy is revised, the effective date at the top is updated. If a change is material — a new category of information, a new recipient, a different retention period — a short note describing it is displayed at the top of this page for 30 days.
