Affiliate Disclosure
Effective date: 12 October 2026
This page explains, without hedging, how Dual Aspect is paid for. If you read only one paragraph: GRAVELGANT s.r.o. earns a commission when a reader follows one of our links to War Thunder and creates and confirms an account there. That commission is our only income from this site. It costs you nothing extra, and the course is written so that it remains complete and useful if you never follow a link at all.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is an ordinary web link carrying a code that identifies the publisher who sent you. If you arrive at a vendor through it and do the thing the vendor pays for — here, registering and confirming an email address — the network records the sign-up and pays the publisher an agreed amount set by the vendor. Your own position is unchanged by the code: you pay the same price, see the same pages and receive the same account as someone who typed the address directly into a browser.
Where these links appear in the course
There are five of them, and every one points to the same destination.
- On the homepage, in the section explaining why one product is named throughout the course.
- In Step 1, where the running example is introduced.
- In Step 2, beside the suggestion to read the vendor's own published requirements.
- In Step 3 and Step 4, where the sign-up and installation sequence is described.
Every one carries a short note beside it saying that it is paid. None is disguised as a button, a recommendation or a verdict, and the homepage carries a disclosure box above the step list, so you know before you start reading rather than afterwards.
What the commission does not decide
It does not decide what any step says. The steps were written around the decisions a beginner actually faces, and a sentence is included only if it survives the question "would this still be here if nobody paid us?"
It does not decide what is mentioned. Nothing is withheld because it would reduce sign-ups, and the free tools the course recommends — your operating system's own panels, your browser's password manager — are there because they cost nothing and already exist.
It does not buy us a relationship with anyone: we are not the vendor's partner, reseller, authorised source or official channel, and no vendor sees these pages before publication. Nor does it change the facts we state. What this site says about the linked product comes from what the affiliate network publishes about it; where that material is silent, the course says the vendor does not state it.
What does decide the content
Three things. First, the order in which a beginner meets decisions — which is why hardware comes before accounts and money comes last. Second, the published material of the Australian bodies whose job each subject is: the ACCC for consumer rights, the Classification Board for classification, Scamwatch for scams, the ACSC for account security, the eSafety Commissioner for online safety and the OAIC for privacy. Third, the rule that every step must be completable at no cost. The editorial method on our About page sets all of this out in more detail, including how often the course is reviewed.
Why disclose it this prominently
Because a reader cannot judge a recommendation without knowing who benefits from it. In Australia, misleading or deceptive conduct in trade is prohibited under the Australian Consumer Law, and a paid link presented as disinterested advice is what that rule exists to prevent.
What happens when you follow one
You leave dualaspect.online for a site run by other companies, which may set cookies on their own domains to record the referral — this site sets none, as the Cookie Policy describes. We receive a commission report giving counts of attributed sign-ups and amounts payable, use it to reconcile payment and nothing else, and seek no information identifying individual readers. The Privacy Policy says the same.
If you would rather not
Then do not. Type the vendor's name into a search engine instead. Every instruction works the same way, and nothing here is hidden behind a link: printing the checklists and never returning is a perfectly good outcome for us.
Trademarks
All brand names on Dual Aspect, War Thunder among them, are the property of their owners. Except for the paid affiliate links described on our funding page, none of those owners is affiliated with Dual Aspect, and none has endorsed or sponsored it.
